Advanced Sterilization Products Helps Homeless Children In Orange County, CA

On November 9, ASP’s Finance Department volunteered at the “We’ve Got Your Back” nutrition program, an event coordinated by the Giving Children Hope organization that provides food and nutritional education for homeless children in Orange County, CA.

With over 22,000 homeless children in Orange County’s elementary schools, 16 ASP associates dedicated time to sort and package over 600 backpacks with food, drinks and educational materials to these children. Additionally, the team collected over $300 worth of donations for the cause.

Here’s what a few of the ASP Finance associates had to say about their experience:

“The experience was amazing and left a lasting impression. When you stop to think of the many homeless children in our community that are in need of daily support, it makes you realize how small our everyday problems are and questions whether or not you’re doing enough to make a difference in the lives of people around you. I am proud that my team had the opportunity to participate in this worthy cause.”

“After watching a documentary about Orange County children living in motels, I recognized there was a tremendous need in my community. This event was important for me to act and help provide for children that do not have the regular meals.”

“This was a fulfilling and humble experience to give back to the community that helps children in need. I would encourage all to plan and jump start their group events committed during United Way as soon as possible.”
