Coming Soon — Centralized Evidence, Regulations and Standards on ASPJJ.com

An exciting new resource is coming to ASPJJ.com to help healthcare professionals base their infection prevention decisions on evidence, science, and ultimately the highest standards of patient and healthcare worker safety! ASP is developing an online, centralized professional education and information-sharing resource that compiles the latest scientific evidence, published studies, practice guidance, government regulations and standards in infection prevention. It also offers insights into not only established practices and protocols, but also new methodologies and considerations.

According to Amber Mitchell, ASP Director of Professional Education & Learning Solutions, “The information on the site will be organized under the four main categories to combat pathogen transmission in healthcare —sterilization, high-level disinfection, environmental decontamination, and hand hygiene. Whenever healthcare professionals need information to support or improve practices in these areas, they will be able to find the most comprehensive, up-to-date references all in one place on the ASPJJ.com Professional Education site.”

This will be a purely educational resource for our customers. As an accountable stakeholder in infection prevention, ASP is committed to providing information and education for advancing patient and healthcare worker safety. In fact, our Professional Education leader, Amber Mitchell, is dedicated to sharing and driving evidence-based knowledge every day with healthcare societies, professional associations, regulators, standard setters, and established healthcare personnel , all of whom are not only our customers, but our rising thought leaders and change agents. Amber will be updating our new Professional Education Web site continuously to ensure the latest knowledge is available and accessible. She will also be answering any questions or suggestions you might have or about evidence and standards in combating pathogen transmission and ultimately preventing infections among patients and healthcare workers in the “Ask Amber” section of the site.

Watch for the launch of the ASP Professional Education Web site soon!
